Please note that we require a 50% booking fee for any treatment over an hour long.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment, your booking fee will be lost.
You’ll be pleased to know that after extensive clinical trials, Microneedling with the SkinPen device is considered extremely safe. The treatment is fully FDA-approved and is considered safe for almost anyone, inclusive of all skin types and pigments.
Microneedling with SkinPen is not considered painful by any means, however, you can expect to feel pressure and a scratching feeling during your treatment. Although this is the case, pretty much all o our patients do not feel discomfort during this treatment.
If you are to feel any increased discomfort, this is often felt around the bony parts of the face, such as the jaw, forehead and hairline.
Side effects from SkinPen Microneedling are often minor, temporary, and contained to the area treated. Side effects to be aware of for this treatment include short-term redness, light swelling, and in some cases skin flaking, however, this will only last for a few days.
Aftercare advice is included with every treatment, and our experienced clinicians will be able to advise on the best way to ensure comfort post-treatment.
For most people, we recommend 3 to 6 sessions of SkinPen to see their optimum result. For those with younger skin, 1 or 2 treatments may be enough to achieve the rejuvenated results that you desire. Everyone is different, and as the treatment depends on your body’s unique ability to regenerate cells, the number of treatments required varies per person.
At your initial consultation, our skin specialists will be able to understand more about you and your skin, and be able to provide a more accurate recommendation for your course of treatment.
On average, it takes around 6 to 8 weeks for our patients to see their results in full. As with the number of sessions you need, everyone is different and results can vary from person to person. Our practitioners will be able to advise you and answer any concerns you may have about your results following your treatment.
You’ll be pleased to know that downtime for this treatment is very short, and will only take around 24-48 hours to be fully recovered. Downtime for SkinPen does not require you to take any time off from work, and you will be able to return to your normal activities immediately after your treatment.
Following your treatment, your practitioner will provide a complete aftercare plan for you to ensure that you are able to maximise your results.
