It is also biocompatible, meaning it won’t cause any harm to your facial tissue. Not having additives significantly reduces the risk of any complications or side effects.

You may feel a slight pinch from the insertion of the injections, however, this is only brief and does not extend past your treatment. The vast majority of patients tolerate this without the need for any local anaesthetic.

Common side effects include a minor amount of swelling, bruising, redness and soreness at the site of the injections. These effects will often reduce after a few days and be gone within two weeks. If you still experience problems after two weeks we would advise you to contact the clinic or your GP.

Treatments for Profhilo typically take between 45 minutes – 1 hour depending on the area being treated.

To achieve the best long-lasting results, two treatments are recommended at a four-week interval. Some people may see the results within the first week, but the best outcome will be visible four weeks after the second treatment.
